Funny how samsung trouble shooter does not had a unresponsive touchscreen button or commonly known ghost finger button

Online they say its a £10 ribbon that needs fitting but not much profit in that

samsung kings cross ay £180 for new screen and if that doesnt work a new motherboard for a few hundred more.

Works well with a usb mouse so obviously not motherboard or screen problem

The drivers when typing in *#2663# were not there when the phone was totally locked.Now when I type *#2663# the firmware drivers are there and it has become intermittent FAULT.Think this is a software problem that samsung don't want yo fix

Very strange I am using it now to post onba72.Leave it at home and no sim is inserted.when I come back to the a72 it s touscreen is frozen again.how strange.2 years and £440 ..annoying.why is screen working now then stops.WHY have the drivers suddenly appeared when typing *#2663#.no answer from moderator..strange..like the subject off limits

So the answer is I bought a new phone like most people would do rather than spen at least £200 on a new screen

This a72 intermittent fault phone sits in my home..how could I have any confidence inbit

Oh well the Nokis G42 seems OK good value for £179 on website.speakers aren't as good as £440 A72 but as it is under half the price and is designed for self repair.to finish this post I had to plug in a USB mouse

I just had to reboot with power button and volume down.Touchscreen DEAD.
I plug in my USB MOUSE and type *#2663# no number eleven ,the number of magic.I update the firmware for touchscreen.I have tried this MANY times before.Imagine my surprise it UPDATES the touchscreen firmware and says PASS..still touchscreen not working.I reboot again and it works.I wonder for how long.I do not trust it so my NOKIA G42 is my main phone and I leave the A72 at home.Ill pick it up to see it touchscreen holds the updated firmware.Was not the A72 released and quickly made not available in Europe?

Locked up again.power button and volume down.type *#2663# and the touchscreen firmware has GONE.im using USB mouse to type this
