A72 JUST OUT OF WARRANTY

touchscreen unresponsive GHOST FINGER

FACTORY RESETS TIMES 7

updates tried  alll USELESS

##works well will a USB mouse....##

Funny how samsung trouble shooter does not had a unresponsive touchscreen button or commonly known ghost finger button

Online they say its a £10 ribbon that needs fitting but not much profit in that

samsung kings cross ay £180 for new screen and if that doesnt work a new motherboard for a few hundred more.

Works well with a usb mouse so obviously not motherboard or screen problem

Hi there, @justoutofwarrantygoe. Although we can't overturn the decision of the engineer (who will have done a thorough inspection), you may wish to look at your other repair options here:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/

While I can't say whether the outcome will be different, you could certainly get a second opinion on what's needed to get your A72 up and running again.

You may wish to continue liaising with the In-store team at Kings Cross:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/explore/kings-cross/support/#

Alternatively, you can also liaise with our array of Support Teams here:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/

Please let us know when you get this resolved.

Hi, @justoutofwarrantygoe. It's important that you get your A72 working as it should. I'd recommend taking this up with the engineer, who'll be in a better position to advise about the cause of and resolution for the touchscreen issue you have encountered.

An inspection is always the best course of action when your phone is not working as expected. I appreciate that you've started the ball rolling, so I recommend continuing to discuss this with the team at Kings Cross...or you could look at getting another inspection.

I did what %95 of people would do and got a new phone Nokiag42for £179 rather than throw good money after bad,or pafter a £430 a72 that lasted two years one month out of warranty. The phone drivers appeared when typing *#2663# that were not there before so the phone has an INTERMITENT fault how strange

So my screen works for awhile then a power button plus windows down reboot seems to fix it
