A52 5G Forgotten Password and it will not go to Factory Reset option

Hi,

My daughter got a new #A52 5G phone. She set up a password and cannot remember it at all! I have been trying for hours to get it to do a factory reset but when it powers back on it just goes back to the lock screen. It's driving me mad!

Any tips? I have watched lots of YT videos but it's just not playing ball.

Thank you, I'll have to try that but my husband has the same model no so don't want to erase his by accident!

@Members_orJKEX4: If you sign in to Find My Mobile via the link below using the Samsung Account that's registered to the phone, then you can remotely unlock it from here, without the need for a factory reset. I hope this helps.

So I tried find my mobile but it looks like it wasn't linked to my Samsung account.  I've also found it on Google Find My Device but it appears her A52s is in flight mode too so not showing as active - last seen 3 days ago although it's right here in front of me switched on and charged.  I've tried messing with the password in the hopes I might get a forgotton password prompt but it's telling me to wait for 29 seconds and try again.

She's had this phone less than a week so I can't give up on it!

As I just opened the box and started the phone. It updated to android 12, restarted then it asked me for a password.I haven't set up a password for it.

For some reason, the phone need to be connected to the PC via cable while doing a restart, and then power + vol up works

After update to android 12 I can't unlock screen. On my phone I have very important data, I can't lost this data.

@prrr1: I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue. Have you tried signing in to Find My Mobile, as per my previous reply, to see if you're able to unlock your device remotely from here?
