Odyssey g5 freesync stuck at 60hz

Does anyone figured this out? When i turn the freeaync on the refresh rate goes back and be capped at 60hz. But if i turn it off it goes back to 144hz. Is there a way to turn on freesync with 144hz?

please note that manual refresh rate and enabling freesync won't run altogether
