Unfortunately, I opted in for the more expensive LTE model that I am unable to make a call on for longer than 1 minute without it overheating.  Before anybody answers with, "Did you get it replaced?".  Yes, 4 times, and right out of the box all have the same issue.

It's beyond frustrating!

For those with non LTE watches the steps to get calls from the watch through the buds are following:

1. Connect the buds with the phone only;

2. Check whether the watch sees the buds as in the pictures I shared previously but do not connect watch with the buds (sound and call option under the buds should be off on the watch, and bluetooth sign with the buds on the watch should also be off - see the pictures I shared);

This solution worked for me and I can now make calls and answer the calls from the watch directly and get them through the buds.

Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing such a bad issues after 4 replacement. To me this looks like they did not tested hardver/software/battery good enough before letting LTE versions into sale. I would advise you replace it with non-lte version now and request specially reduced price and money back.  Generally I was surprised that for SG 4 Classic they opted for such a small battery (only 360 mAh) which is significant downgrade from old Galaxy Watch 2018 that had 470 mAh battery capacity). Such a small battery I guess cannot cope with LTE verisons. I was actually looking to buy Mobvoi Ticwatch 3 Ultra which has 570 mAh battery but I found Galaxy Watch 4 Classic for little bit less than 200 euro through outlet sale (software got replaced). But so far I am happy how it works. Of course, I need to charge battery after less than 24 hrs, every day.

Thank you.  Yes, the major software company that I have worked at for over twenty years would NEVER release a product with the current low quality that the Samsung Watch 4 has!!!

Despite this shortcoming with small battery I think non LTE SG 4 Classic watch is still good product (if you can "swallow" charging every day). Strava and all other apps are working fine at the watch and all sports tracking are doing very well. And it is  filled with options like no other watch on the market. Anyway, considering your background I am surprised that you did not check all the facts about the watch before buying it LTE version.

When you pay good money, you expect the features of the watch to work properly.  How, the overheating issue made it through testing blows my mind!

The company that I work for would never release a product with a major issue like this!

It's beyond sloppy!

Can't get it to work either. Followed what you suggested. Pods are connected to phone. Watch rings when a call comes to the phone. If I answer with watch, sound goes to watch's loudspeaker. I can redirect to pods only from my phone.

That's nice but... I want to connect my buds with my watch and not my phone. It's just stupid that I can hear spotify from the watch and when I answer a call the audio goes trough the watch. I have to remove the pods to talk.

The solution that worked for me (Galaxy 4 Classic non LTE watch - Galaxy S21 phone - Tronsmart Spunky Beat buds) is as I already described in the posts above but I am repeating it since I see people did not follow instructions and then complained that it did not work for them:

1. Connect the buds with the phone only;

2. You have to have watch sees the buds as in the pictures I shared previously but do not connect watch with the buds (sound and call option under the buds should be off on the watch, and bluetooth sign with the buds on the watch should also be off - see the pictures I shared);

3. If you plan to listen spotify, or plan to do anything else which you expect to get through your buds, you should started from the phone. Your watch in most of the cases (apps) only gives you possibility to control the app you started on the phone from the watch screen and nothing else. So, you start everything on the phone and later on (if you enable this option on the watch it is called control media) you can control it from the watch.

I can now listen spotify, answer the call from my watch and get the call through the buds - spotify automatically stops when I am getting the call and continues after the call ends.

Hope this will help at least to some of you.
