Hi,

I have a Samsung UE55MU6470UXXU TV. I seem to be getting these strange white lines coming through on the TV.

Any idea on what this is called/how it can be fixed?

See below, i have cicled in red where these lines appear.

Any help would be appreciated as this is driving me nuts!

Thanks,

J

our UN65MU800D has like 5 white streaks emanating from bottom of screen, similar to 03duesrider's pic.  annoying.  TV is 4 years old.  will try unplugging, resetting, or whatever.  will report back if improves.

Any news on the cause and/or fix? I have the same issue. It started as one line and now there are 3. TV is 6 years old and the 1st line showed up 4 months ago. We spend too much money for these units for this to happen. Maybe I should look into other brands when I replace this one

After going through a couple of rounds of calls with customer support and scheduling a service call, I was told that the display would need to be replaced and the estimated price for the repair would be over $700.  Given that the 2021 Frame had recently came out and was priced significantly below the original, it did not make sense to spend the money on the repair.   I ended up purchasing the 2021 version (which is much thinner and less expensive than Gen 1) I was going to put the old one on the curb, but just gave it to a friend instead.  I did call Samsung sales support and explained the issue and requested a discount on the purchase of the replacement and there was some accommodation there.  I do think more could be done however, because I clearly do believe that these Gen 1 Frame TV's are defective given the traffic on this topic.

I have the same issue.  It showed up about 4 months ago.  The TV is just over 5 years old.  Other than this issue, it is a great television, and I would like to get it repaired.  Has anyone had any luck getting this fixed?IMG_7805.jpg

unfortunately, no fix.  getting used to it, just don't focus on the ***** lines.  will replace soon with newer, lighter, model since the costs have dropped significantly.  was told to reboot tv to original specs, but I don't want to mess with the tv/comcast/wifi ***** at this point.  Good luck

Same thing here. Will never buy a Samsung again. This happened maybe 2.5 years after buying the best possible 65" model for almost $3000. I won't buy another one based on how samsung handled it. Basically told me to deal with it. I advised them I've had tvs that lasted for 5-10 years. But I guess that's what you can expect from a samsung. It makes more and more angry every time I see it. Ruins tons of videos games, movies and shows as it is a constant distraction and reminder that these companies are screwing us

Just had the same problem occur on a 55” Frame TV that we purchased back in 2019, so 5+ years of service before failure. Looks like mfg stress lines? Pretty much identical to what is shown on this forum post. Currently, Samsung is offering a 38% discount on another TV (OLED 65” I think), but would have rather they offered something for the new FrameTV… Also, according to Samsung product support the old Slim-Fit mount isn’t compatible with the newer Frame models (even if you are replacing a 55” with a 55”), so that’s frustrating… Attached are my photos with stress lines.
