Purchased tv from Argos (december 2022) for £599.99 and was told to register on the Samsung website to get the 5 year warranty.
I registered it on the 9thJanuary 2023, which is confirmed on my account page.
Samsung did not respond with a message and code and now will not honour the 5 year warranty.
My tv has a black line right accross the screen and have spoken to Samsung on phone, web chat and they will only repair at my cost.
Feel cheated by Samsung and Argos.
Surely a tv should last longer than 2.4 years

@letdown11: I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue with your TV, and that there is some confusion surrounding your remaining warranty. From what I understand, Argos are not listed as a participating retailer in the extended warranty promotion, and this is why your TV is showing as out of warranty from our side, as the standard warranty runs for 12 months from the purchase date.

If you have spoken with our Support Team, and the issue has persisted following troubleshooting assistance, then a chargeable out of warranty repair would be the only course of action that can be offered. I understand that this is not ideal, and apologise for any disappointment this may have caused you.

@letdown11 @johnz237 Whilst there is no time limit on a Section 75 claim may be more problematic after 3 years.
The following can help:
See more detail here https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumers/complaints-can-help/credit-borrowing-money/goods-se...
If paid by debit card there is 120 day limit for chargeback.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Unfortunately paid in full on debit card.
Am looking in to consumer rights.
Thanks

Only 12 months warranty shows they have no confidence in their products.
Absolute joke.
