So, was watching TV last night when approximately 4hrs into viewing two thin horizontal lines appeared about two inches from the top of the sreen. They are very close together and are not black lines.
From what I can see it looks like information from the bottom of the screen (around about the same place from the edge as the top line) is being relayed to these two lines. I know this from watching Sky News. I can see pixels moving to the left in these two lines which corresponds with the text moving at the bottom of the screen and on the very left hand side I can see part of the stationary 'red' of news and the black from 'sky' to the left. This leads me to think that it's not the panel as those two lines are working but just being fed incorrect information from somewhere(Drivers?) I'm no TV expert though.
Anyone had anything similar? Here's a few photo's. It's a Samsung UE50RU7400UXXU

Thanks for the reply. I'll try a factory reset over the weekend and provide update. Currently, it's on every input even the picture test in settings and pulling the plug for a while hasn't shifted it.
