My Samsung UE48JS8500T television is dead! I have fitted a new Power Unit, but the fuse in it blew. What should I replace next. I am a qualified engineer. The present age and value of the set does not warrent a 'Samsung Service repair. any advice or leads will be greatly appreciated.

Hi @samsungue48.
We'd suggest having a word with your nearest Service Centre for further advice on this. You can find them here.

I am an engineer and this television (UE48JS500T) is my personal property, It is now a two year old set with a value of at most only £4 or £5 hundred pounds. I wish to keep it going a while longer but I am unable to obtain service information to enable me to repair it. The set having failed and become 'Dead' The obvious thing was to suspect the power unit.
I therefore obtained a new one, but it blew the fuse which indicated a short in the remaining circuit. I would appreciate any help or advice which would point me in the direction of the problem as i have no information relating to the location of components or panels.
