Hi all,
I have had my Samsung TV for roughly 12 months and have had no problems plugging my Seagate HDD into the USB slot and watching movies. Untill recently it has started coming up 'no content found'. It works on other TV's and is fine on my computer. It also powers up the hard drive and comes up with the option in the source menu so I don't think it's a power issue. Have tried both USB slots and with and without a USB extender. Any help would be great
Thanks

My next tv will not be a Samsung. Nothing but software bugs with the Smarthub lately, including this one - not fixed 3 years after many customers reported and customer service never even contacted me back. The company must want to get out of the tv business.

Same for me. Did you ever find a solution friend? This is driving me mad. I contacted Samsung to no avail.

I have tried every single step proposed on this forum and nothing works permanently for me. There is one solution that helped. Download LG Smartshare on your PC and avoid the tv USB entirely. It is less convenient, but you can connect your USB drive to your PC. I am able to share video, photo and music content to my tv with minimal lag. My Samsung dumb tv has turned into garbage. The home button doesn't work inside apps, the volume doesn't work inside apps (all software issues, not remote issues), icons in the Smarthub suddenly disappear for no reason, the Samsung TV Plus comes on by itself and I can't even get back to the Smarthub menu, or turn my tv off. It is a disaster. All because of software patch updates. The tv was working perfectly it the 1st 2 years after purchase. I guess Samsung got ideas feom Microsoft to make tvs unusable so we have to go buy new ones. It worked, except I won't be buying a Samsung.
