Samsung Frame 2020 and Sonos Amp connected via HDMI ARC

When I change the sound output to built-in TV speakers in Samsung TV, it automatically changes back to HDMI ARC sound output in a few seconds.

Sometimes I want to use the TV with its built-in speakers, so I don't want it to always automatically and persistently switch to the HDMI ARC sound output.

How can I disable this automatic switching?

Hello. I have the exact same issue. My Samsung FRAME connect to my Bluesound Powernode via ARC even if I manually select to use internal speakers.

But today I saw this....https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01111222/#turn-off-automatic-hdmi-switching-wi...

Just wonder if this option also can work for ARC HDMI

I have not tried the below that you mention.  Let me know if it works.

From link :

Make sure you are on the TV source (not an HDMI source), and then point the remote at the TV and input the code: MuteVol DownCh DownMute.

Sorry to report the link description was NOT working. Same *****....

What I did is then to de-connect all devices. De-connect all cables. let it be out for 10 min...Now after connecting all cables - the system work again!!! Now I can switch to TV speaker and it remains so....Strange....I am sure this will not stay as this but at the moment things work - so I will not touch anything........

Good it works for now. Please report back in a month. Many ppl have disconnected and reconnected with no long term luck. I hope yours stays working.

I just tried the support instructions on this page, and they did not work for me

These are the steps I followed on my 4K QLED (Model QA55QN90AAW). I have a Sonos Beam 2 connected via ARC HDMI.

  1. Went to Settings > General > External device manager
  2. Disabled Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) so that the TV is using the TV speakers
  3. Exited settings
  4. Input the code per the link (Mute, Vol down, Ch down, Mute)
  5. Enabled Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)

At this point, the TV automatically defaulted back to the ARC HDMI.

I tried doing this process 3 times.

I also checked for updates prior to doing this, and it said my system was up to date, and I have auto-update enabled anyway. (Although in the Settings > Support > Software update menu it admittedly says the current version is 2001 🤣  and that's just so completely ridiculous, so there's clearly something weird going on there.)

Do you mean that you disconnected all the cables, waited 10 mins, then did the [Mute, Vol down, Ch down, Mute] code, and it worked?

Or you just disconnected, waited, and then it wasn't switching back to ARC HDMI after that?

Now a new strange thing happen....When turning on the TV the next day  suddenly I hear the sound from BOTH!! the internal speakers AND the eARC connected POWERNODE. This should not be possible at all. What the heck is happening here??
