Samsung Frame 2020 and Sonos Amp connected via HDMI ARC
When I change the sound output to built-in TV speakers in Samsung TV, it automatically changes back to HDMI ARC sound output in a few seconds.
Sometimes I want to use the TV with its built-in speakers, so I don't want it to always automatically and persistently switch to the HDMI ARC sound output.
How can I disable this automatic switching?

My TV now accepts my Airpods without me having to turn off the Sonos.

Great to hear, what make and model is TV and which model sonos speaker do you have connected to TV.
Is this via bluetooth?
Thanks

I have a Samsung Frame, I think the model is from 2019 (purchased in 2020) - QN65LS03TAFXZC . The Sonos is the Beam, 2nd Generation

Good news. Maybe that Bean 2nd gen fixed it. The sonos Arc gen 1 still not working. I suspect Arc gen 2 might work when it comes out in a few months. But I'm not keen on what that price will be.

Hi @Maribc , can you please share your Frame firmware version number?
I have a Frame 2019 updated to FW 1420 and connected to a Sonos Beam Gen 1.
When I connect my Airpods Pro to the tv via bluetooth, the sound still automatically jumps back to the Beam a second after the headphones connects.

It is 2025 and the issue is still here. I have Sonos Arc Ultra and Samsung QN9DA (equivalent to QN90A) Ridiculous. I pin this on Sonos because the Samsung 990D (obviously) and Sennheiser ambeo plus soundbar have no such problem whatsoever when connected to HDMI/ARC.
Moreover, had Sonos simply added an option to turn off the sound bar, it probably wouldn't even matter.

Wow I can not believe this bluetooth item is still an issue in 2025 and you have the latest TV and Sonos Ultra. Did you borrow the Ambeo or buy it?
My Samsung TV works with friends Bose 700 soundbar but not my Sonos Arc. Same cable, same TV, same bluetooth earbuds.
Congratulations Sennheiser and Bose for keeping your software current. For Sonos, maybe they are busy fixing the App still?
To think I was looking at getting the Sonos Ultra oneday. Well, no thanks.
