I've just purchased this TV from Currys today. The Currys website shows it as having a five year warranty and this was also confirmed by the sales assistant in the store.

https://www.currys.co.uk/products/samsung-qe50q60bauxxu-50-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-qled-tv-with-bixby-...

The Samsung website also shows that this has a five year warranty -

https://www.samsung.com/uk/tvs/qled-tv/q60b-50-inch-qled-4k-smart-tv-qe50q60bauxxu/

I've registered the TV but am unable to confirm that the warranty is five years.

Is there any way to confirm this please?

Thanks.

I got it fixed with the Currys shop where I bought it no problem, all they needed was my postcode and I was on their system, I did have to bring it in to the shop myself because their call centres are a joke

Just went through Currys and got my TV fixed, the warranty is definitely with them and not Samsung.

Developed lines across the screen about 8 inches from the bottom of the TV,

Thank you so much for the info. I have just arranged with Currys for it to be collected and repaired. I'm actually still a bit in shock how easy it was with Currys and Samsung put up such a fight.

Seems to be a real common thing with this TV as googling horizontal lines on Q60 and there are hundreds of threads.

I bought from very on a promotional offer. I had always bought Panasonic but thought I’d try the Samsung. 2 years in- no picture and I’ve only just discovered my 5 year warranty was not worth the paper it was printed on. Now I’m using a 20

year old Panasonic plasma that has been well used and working better than the 2 year old Samsung. Never again buy Samsung.

U need to check who it was the warranty was offered with, I assumed it was a Samsung warranty but it was through Currys, u only seem to get it from Samsung if you buy directly from them, see if u can get the original offer online and see if it's offered through very and go back to them if it is, but Currys online customer care was terrible I had to go in-store to get it sorted out.

I got caught out by this too, thinking I had a 5 year warranty when my 2 year old TV died the other day. I had registered it with Samsung when I bought it. Took it to Curry’s as their literature said 5 year warranty but they said “No, one year with Curry’s and anything else with Samsung”. Samsung call centre not very helpful as they said only 1 year with them as Curry’s was not on “Participating Dealer” list when I bought (they are not on 2024-25 list either on Samsung website ….). Not only that they took my details and went into my Samsung account and deleted the TV from my “Registered” devices. They then passed me on to Curry’s call centre and, in verbal hand over, had the cheek to tell them that my device had NOT been registered (!). I had just re-checked that it was in my registered device list prior to calling Samsung but it is not now. They stated that Curry’s should not have offered 5 year warranty as they were not on the “participating dealer” list - non of the “ big boys” (Amazon, Currys, AO ) etc are on this list currently. Now stuck between The two parties with both saying not their responsibility and I am looking at expensive repair……….😡
