QLED showing dark spots

My 4 year old out of warranty QN75 TV is showing dark spots on the bottom of the screen. Is this something that can be repaired or can I troubleshoot this on the set itself?

Could you provide a picture of the dark spots?

Most likely it's due to faulty backlight or LCD panel itself.
