How to fund the EPG with the smart remote??

I recently got a Qled 65" to replace an older model. 

I want to set up to record the terrestrial channels. I cant find the standard TV guide, just a list of whats on now. 

I've looked at all the forum guides and.nothing worked. 

After an hour of frustration I searched out my old TV remote and pressed the Guide button and hey presto, it's there! 

So the question is how can this be found not using an old TV remote for a different TV? 

It's obviously there!

I just want to see what's in terrestrial TV that night and set up what I want to record.

Its so complicated that you have no idea of all thw features! It's also not in the emanual either.

@Helen22  It should be possible to access the TV guide via the Smart Remote by  pressing the centre of the Channel Up/Down button.

That just brings up the details if the channel that's on currently. I read that one.
