Frame HDMI no signal

Hello,

I have a Frame 55" TV and yesterday the HDMI inpouts stopped outputting any video. Its been working great up until then.

What happens now is that when i plug in a new source, eg PS5, it recognises that there is a new device as the 'scanning for devices' screen appears, the screen comes up about setting up the smart remote and when i exit that by clicking 'later' I get the swirling circle of dots before the screen appears saying 'no signal'. This is the same across all HDMI ports and different input devices- PS5, Switch and mac.

My Sonos Arc soundbar is still recognised and works fine.

I've been through what I consider to be everyting I can do: factory resets, unplug everything, plug it all back in, do it in different orders, check the sources are working (which they are) but nothing.

Have I tried everything or am i missing something? Its doing my head in!

Thanks,

Chris

did any of your TVs say the HDMI device was plugged in but that there was no power to the hdmi device?

2022 and I'm having the same issue - just got my 2021 Frame 50 today and hdmi ports were working for a minute or two, but now no device, no new hdmi wire, no tv reset will make any of the HDMI ports work. For me, the frame sees the HDMI devices, but says thos devices have no power/are not turned on, even though the devices are on.

I will look into getting a new wire but curious to see if anyone else had the "no power" message.

I too suffers this issue..suddenly during a the day..all es working fine then HDMI device(s) fail to be recognized…tried everything…swapped everything…not sure if they slipped in a software update and that’s the issue, or the One box  just failed (3 weeks old !)

I got my problem fixed: scheduled an appointment through Samsung for one of their local approved techs to troubleshoot. The solution for me was replacing the one connect box. The tech arrived, did some diagnostics on the tv and established that the tv and wire were fine. So they replaced the box and my whole setup has been working fine ever since. I read somewhere else that the capacitors inside the box sometimes go bad and will start making a clicking noise. That is what I was noticing on my box. Clicking, and then gradually the box had a harder and harder time doing anything (recognizing hdmi devices, and even turning the tv on).

again - replacing the box was the solution for me. They replaced it free under Samsung warranty because it had only been a week or so since I bought it.

Unbelievable, I thought it was something wrong with the box. Replaced hdmi cable and now it works.

Does yours think a cable is in HDMI port but none are? It seems to be auto detecting something that is not there. In source it shows 1 & 2 as something plugged in but nothing is.  When I plug I to 3 it still won't work. It seems like 1 & 2 arnet allowing 3 to work. Keep in mind NO HDMI cables are connected at all.

Anyone experienced this before?

I have 1 year old 65" Frame that was working perfectly but started to play up recently .

Firstly, it would go blank for 1-2 seconds every now & again.

Then I noticed the volumes started to vary when on different devices, & the volume would vary on the same devices if it was recording compared to a softer playback.  I have a Foxtel IQ4, a Panasonic DVD/PVR & a Fetch Set top box (also a PVR), & it is happening to all 3 of them.

Then when I switch HDMI sources it takes up to 20 seconds for the TV to react & sometimes never does until I do something on the device's remote like turn it off/on; it says HDMI Cable: no Signal

Now I have disconnected all 3 devices via HDMI & reconnected them to do a reset & each device is recognised as a Sky NZ set top box & it has a logo (I'm in Sydney). I go in & change the name as I dont have the option to search for device Manufacturer/model number.

It is very frustrating.

Thanks for all the info in this topic. I had recently relocated my TV from one room to another and from then on had the exact same issue with external HDMI connected devices - TV unit would detect the device correctly (e.g. PS5), swirling circle then message statigin issue with the source, check cable, bla bla bla. If I hadn't found this thread I wouldn't have thought to check the connecting cable between screen and unit - it logically doesn't make sense. Removed from both ends, re-connected and voila! issue resolved. Thanks again for all the info in this topic.

This definitely seems to be a thing. After moving my Frame 55" it's working fine except for all it's HDMI ports. I've tried multiple HDMI cables, and I've tested with both a Nintendo Wii and a DVD player. Nothing works.

I'll try reaching out to customer support. Not great as its a relatively new TV but it may be outside warranty now
