Updated the firmware to 2601.1 and since then there's no signal from the HDMI connection to my Yamaha RX-V685 AV receiver. Last update worked fine. My device is a GU55TU7079UXZG. I'll be greatful if someone points me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community.

I found this online
"UPDATE: Apparently I had been using HDMI 2 out ever since I set up the receiver but thought I was actually using HDMI 1 out. That's the port I typically plug into when using only one output. It appears my output problem started when I accidentally pressed the HDMI Out button when trying to power off the unit without knowing it. The HDMI Out button is dangerously close to the power button and easy to hit accidentally. I didn't really pay attention to the HDMI port number on the back of the unit when I was troubleshooting because I just knew I had it in HDMI 1 out. Every time I switched the HDMI output and cable on the unit I had the cable plugged into the opposite port of what I was setting the output to. I finally realized what I had done after I got it working with the dual output setting and viewed the system information on the screen and saw it was using HDMI 2 out. DOH! ***** move. Lesson learned. So, if you have a RX-V685 and your HDMI ↑ output suddenly stops working make darn sure you didn't accidentally press that little HDMI Out button

that is WAY to close to the power button."

Hi, yeah, saw that too. Turns out i'm actually using the correct output. The confirmation is that prior to the Firmware update it was working fine. I saw the moment when the TV restarted that the receiver lost the HDMI connection. So my best lead is to reverse what the update changed to the HDMI e-ARC port. Still no solution though

I've got 2 s60b sound bars attached with Arc, both now don't work. On one setup I factory reset tv and soundbar, unplugged everything for an hour. Configured etc from fresh and still won't get sound to the soundbar. I've been stuck with Bluetooth ever since. @samsung , please check your latest tv update for hdmi arc config. I'm going to try and download the old firmware for the tv's next and usb downgrade them. And turn off auto updates !

Any fixes available yet that anyone has heard of ?

I'll update once I've performed the firmware downgrade. Looks easy enough to achieve as long as you've got a laptop and a spare usb memory stick.

It wasn't the firmware update. A hdmi device which had lost its power was stopping it working. Once the bluray had power restored, hdmi arc started working.
