Frame HDMI no signal

Hello,

I have a Frame 55" TV and yesterday the HDMI inpouts stopped outputting any video. Its been working great up until then.

What happens now is that when i plug in a new source, eg PS5, it recognises that there is a new device as the 'scanning for devices' screen appears, the screen comes up about setting up the smart remote and when i exit that by clicking 'later' I get the swirling circle of dots before the screen appears saying 'no signal'. This is the same across all HDMI ports and different input devices- PS5, Switch and mac.

My Sonos Arc soundbar is still recognised and works fine.

I've been through what I consider to be everyting I can do: factory resets, unplug everything, plug it all back in, do it in different orders, check the sources are working (which they are) but nothing.

Have I tried everything or am i missing something? Its doing my head in!

Thanks,

Chris

So, the problem was solve by just replacing the cable?

The guy who came went into the service menu (I'm not sure what what to call it but it's not something you can just access, he had a special remote)  and verified that that was the problem. I'm waiting for a new cable and when it arrives I'll confirm it's worked.

I firstly went through the remote service and I'm pretty sure they could have looked at this part of the menu to show that this was the problem. I should have taken a photo, if they come back I'll try to remember to do that.

Hi,

So they came, replaced the cable and it all works fine now, thankfully!

Good luck!

Yeah mine was the cable too, it is a bit weird though as nothing has touched or moved the cable since it was installed. Also strangely my tv just updated the software after the new cable was installed. Going from 1381.2 to 1385. Really odd.

Hi. I have the exact same issue with my Samsung frame 55' 2021. When you said that the cable was the issue, you mean the ps5 HDMI 2.1 cable ? If so, then the Samsung repairmen give you a new HDMI 2.1 cable?

My ps5 HDMI cable doesn't work when I connect it to the HDMI 2.1 game slot but works when I plug it to the other HDMI slots. I also bought a new HDMI 2.1 cable to test and same problem occurs.

My PS5 is updated to the latest software 21.01-03.21 .

Hi Chris.

My TV was still under warranty. They replaced the cable from the box to the TV, and mine all worked again. Strangely though I then got a new software update for the TV. The guys who came out tried their test lead (just a new lead) in first before saying the cable was at fault. Apparently they have optics in. Not sure how but it can fail and hdmis no longer work. I thought that as long a picture signal gets from the box. The box it's self takes care of the hdmi switching and source finding but clearly not. Hope there's clear enough.

I did read somewhere that a setting on the ps5 can sometimes mess up signals. Can't remember what setting but might be worth a Google.

hi, my problem was with the cable that runs between the tv and the connect box, not the hdmi lead or port and I wasn’t getting any pictures from any hdmi ports.
