Faulty TV (Qn90d) or app issue (Picture flickering/ strobing)

Bought a Samsung Qn90d only about two weeks old. Basically the left side of the tv strobes/ flickers (almost like the backlight is failing) watching programs only on the now tv app (Uk). When i pause the program the effect is more noticeable against the still image. Its more noticeable in dark scenes but seems a constant in app playback. Even weirder if i bring up the picture settings menu when watching something the effect goes away conpletely then starts again when i close settings menu.

This only seems to happen on the now tv app. Ive tried numerous others (netflix disney amazon ect) and no issue at all so seems to be a fault with the now tv app but im still confused the the cause or if its an underlieing hardware issue.

I currently have the base membership for nowtv which i know is 720p low quality affair. Im just wondering if this is bugged with more modern qled tvs currently and causing issues. It is a 120hz display and i have heard thay nowtv runs at 50hz (rather than 60hz uk standard) which could be an issue. Has anyone else had issues with specific apps causing faults? Am I right to assume this is an app playback issue and not a tv fault?

I noticed the same issues when brightness was lowered on other apps and content so I am getting it replaced with a new unit next week. Hopefully this was just a bad unit and not a sign of issues with this model.

I bought 65 inch QN90D in Aug of 2024.

I am telling samsung there is an issue with screen, I see an led light glowing when I set blue screen on YouTube.

They are saying will replace screen.

It's a 3 month old tv and i an not ok with someone ripping it apart and assembling it.

I bought a new tv after 11 years.

Hope I get a replacement.

I bought two 50qn90d and on both (!) the same artifact appears on the left side of the screen only at low brightness !

It seems like a serious problem that maybe many haven't noticed.
