I’m experiencing an issue where my Samsung monitor(G65B) is unable to detect the 5GHz hotspot shared from my phone or laptop, even though it can pick up other 5GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Both my devices are capable of broadcasting 5GHz hotspots, and I don’t have access to traditional Wi-Fi, making this feature critical for my setup.
After reviewing the monitor specifications and discussions on forums like Reddit, I’ve learned that while the monitor does support 5GHz networks, it seems to struggle with certain channels or specific wavelengths within the 5GHz band. This suggests a possible limitation in supported channels for the monitor.
I’m reaching out to ask if anyone else has resolved this issue, and if not, I encourage Samsung developers to consider adding features in future firmware updates. Specifically, the ability to manually configure or specify which 5GHz channels the monitor should recognize and connect.
Ps: Yes I switch to 2.4Ghz and the hotspots are there, but due to latency problems I must stay on 5ghz.

Did you find a solution / reason for this?
My Unifi APs are currently using single named split 2.4/5G SSIDs on Channel 157 for 5G but the M7 monitor is stuck on the 2.4G on a conventional band 4.
