Call Samsung tech support. I recently called them about a brand new TV and they went into the television remotley and fixed it. It was super easy and they gave good customer service.

I have no way to add apps at this point or remove them. And on top of that, they say Facebook is causing a message to be displayed on my TV every 30 mins that says thank you for being a valued customer, blah, blah, blah. Why would you allow FB to do this to customers.

Yep, exactly the same issue (although I have it on my Samsung Frame). I do have the "APPS" tab at the top, but this is of no help, because I have no "Apps" app (i.e., the App Store) so I cannot add any new apps. Very frustrating!

Navigate to the Apps tab. Once you are on that screen scroll to find the app you want. If you can't find it easily, click on the search icon in the left navigation menu. You have to be on the apps tab in order to find an app using search. Once you find your app, click on it and install it. A popup will ask you if you want to add it to your home screen or you can hold down the button when you click on it to make the popup appear.

I ended up factory resetting my tv and now it appears!

I have been looking at all the possibilities to fix this issue... none of them have fixed it on my TV
I wish Samsung would just put it back on the next update... why wont they listen to their customer base
Its one icon to put back!!!

How do you find a launch your apps? Yes, I get the absence of the button (apps) on the home screen, but all my apps have also disappeared, and I cannot figure out how to search and add them to the darn TV.

I performed a factory reset and then went through to add all the apps back in, including logging into each one using my phone. This was roughly one hour of work added to my day to get Hulu onto the TV.

Having the same issue! My hulu often error if it tries to load and will get stuck on a black screen (currently happening) so I have to sometimes reinstall and now I have no way of doing that. I know I can search for apps and download new ones and I know I can reorder the list but that does not help me manage existing ones. So incredibly frustrated! How do we fix this?!
