@LarryPilkington: If you head to Home > Apps (tab at the top of the Home page) > Scroll down > Genre, then you should find all available apps grouped here (Videos, Sports, Games, Lifestyle etc). If you can't find what you're looking for, then please utilise the Search function on the left side of the screen.

I'm facing the same issue since today. Missing apps icon and access to app store. Do we have a solution for this issue?

i am having the same issue.... how can we get samsung to fix this????
Going to the genre portion does work... there is 1000 of apps and they arranged in no order.

Trying to follow your advice, but my Samsung TV no longer shows an “App” icon at all, neither at the top of the Home page, nor anywhere in the line of apps. Soft reset didn’t work. 2-minute hard reset didn’t work. Can you help?

I am having the same issue with a brand new Samsung 75" Q70D QLED. It is the actual Samsung Apps icon that is missing. Hoping there is an easy fix.

Yep, same. CU7020. Brand new today, updated the firmware/software/oneui now the apps icon has disappeared, with no way to browse/install apps! Incredible that Samsung haven't bothered to resolve this in two months 😞
