Samsung TV software update and remote

Samsung pushed a software update to our TV and this changed the way the remote Pause and Play functions operate.

I absolutely HATE the new configuration and would like my remote to work the way it used to, which it to press play/pause ONCE and it simply works. Now, it must be pressed multiple times... Also, the center button only works to play when the remote is pictured on the TV screen. Once the remote image goes away, the center Play button changes function.

The "new and improved" functionality makes ZERO sense.

I have same problem started today. I hate it. Please someone help to disable this "circle"?

It's horrible, isn't it?  It used to be, you pressed the Play/pause button and it just worked. IF the TV was playing, it paused. If it was paused and you pressed the button, it played.

Now, it puts this image on the TV screen and if you don't press the button immediately, it makes you press it again. They went backwards with this "update" which made everything work worse, not better.
