Wrong trade in value for S23 Ultra on the UK website (256GB is better value than 1TB)

As the title says, trading in the 256GB gives a better value than both 512GB and 1TB. This must be a mistake. 

Is there somewhere I can report this?

I spoke to the support team, it looks like this is not a mistake. Apparently the trade partner sets the price... Likely that the 512 version is by far the most popular and they are going to get an influx of them so higher supply... Cheeky but what can you do.

And how about the 1TB being cheaper than the 256GB? It doesn't make any sense. Even from a recycling point of view.
I know some people my try buying some used 256gb ones just to trade it in and make profit of it

I too just chatted with Samsung support and they confirmed that the 256GB version has a higher trade in value than 512GB.  For me with a S23Ultra with 512GB its certainly not an incentive to trade in for a S25.  Plus you lose Bluetooth functionality on the S-pen and lose a 10 X camera. I like the appeal of Log video on the S25 but that's about it. Maybe wait to see what the S26 brings.

Wait, I have heard about the S pen Bluetooth but what's that about that 10x camera? I thought the camera has been upgraded compared to S23U?

The S23U has a 10X optical, the S25U 5X optical. The S25U digitally enhances for greater than 5X. I guess I'm old school I prefer my lenses optical. 

That being said there is the option to record video in Log format on the S25U which is a great new feature and as someone that uses DaVinci Resolve for editing and grading that's an exciting development.  

I remember when the S24U came out many of the new features that were demonstrated were actually rolled out to the S23U eventually. So I live in hope that Log recording will find it way on to the S23U too, only time will tell. 

When I bought the S23U I paid extra for the 512GB option and now they're offering less trade-in value than the 256GB, I find that quite an disincentive to upgrade.

Yeah such a bizarre thing and only in the UK. If you check other Samsung's stores you won't find such thing.
I am assuming the 10x zoom has been removed since the S24U. It's another inconvenience but not a deal breaker for me.
For me I desperately need the dual e-Sim standby support which the S23U doesn't support at the moment and I am hoping the S25U is supporting it. That with the AI features makes it a good deal for me. With the discount codes I will pay around £1035 and I am hoping I can sell the S23U for £450 or more.

Yep, I believe the S24U also has 5X optical. 

The spec for the S25U suggests dual e-Sim,  but sometimes there are regional differences etc  so I would check first with Samsung before ordering to be on the safe side
