S24 - due today but is not arriving now due to unforseen circumstances?

I just received a text from samsung saying my new phone due today is not arriving now due to unforseen circumstances wonder if anyone else as the same problem

Yes unfortunately delays can and will happen with newly launched phones due to supply and demand and can also be attributed to the colour chosen especially if it's an online exclusive colour and or storage capacity chosen @latics 

I hope you get your phone ASAP.

Could be an issue with the delivery company.
Some delivery companies like DPD in the UK have an app
So when they get the package. Normally get tracking information

Yes, I had an email 8 this morning saying the same thing, but they haven't changed the delivery date still saying arriving on 19th

There are global shipping delays at the moment due to issues in the Middle East affecting shipping.

So delays may occur.

It is well publicised across the news that global shipping is being impacted.

Samsung themselves have not stated that their shipments are delayed for this reason but as they come from Vietnam it is a reasonable assumption.

I wish they would go at least with Evri. They are better than DPD.
I just feel I need to say it, make sure you keep an eye on your delivery with DPD.

They also make Samsung phones in Brazil, so would not be affected.

At this rate, we can link anything and everything to global shipping!

They have had a huge demand for the S24Ultra and Samsung just notify by saying "Unfortunately there has been a delay to your delivery"

There could be 100 reasons for this delay which are anyone's guess. Stating it is due to global shipping is a very specific assumption! They need to communicate why there are delays, but a huge demand for S24 series seems reasonable.
