Good morning. I need to change the CSC of my mobile phone  to PHE.

I have been searching a lot before doing it so i'm asking here  too to know your ideas or instructions.

Will it be possible to flash onto my s10 plus with the latest version from https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-G975F/ATL/doc.html G975FXXSEFUJ2 this firmware G975FXXSEFUJ2 https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-G975F/PHE/doc.html without problems?( to sum up: from ATL to PHE, same version)

I have been searching and it's needed odin, the firmware files and wipes before and after but i have seen that sometimes the csc won't change..  so please give me more info 😞

The reasons to change are:

faster updates( not very important, but it's here)

i'm not using vodafone, so no needs to have all the " shitty" apps from vodafone preinstalled always( not important either, but it's here too)

I'm using yoigo network that is implementing volte and if I put my sim on anothers phone( a cheap xiaomi for example) I get volte, but not with my s10 plus( a friend told me that knows someone with s10 plus that has volte yoigo working, i think that is PHE version). Yoigo told me that s10 plus is supported but third party versions( like ATL) bought on companies are not yet supported and they dont know if there will be support or not or when. they are waiting from samsung a response on when it will certified for third party roms so .. it's the important thing here, the volte from yoigo.

Whats your thougths mate?

PD: if you don't understand something tell me and ill rewrite the part you says

Thanks in advance!

At the end. After many many messages with Samsung members asking the same thinks and making circles and circles. I have been answered with a GOOD response. APn called IMS. IMS in name in APn and in Type "IMS" without capital letters too. Volte working. It wasnt so difficult ah? Thanks to the person who Could response it. To any other person apart from me he would give up.

It's not possible to do that safely, and it could void warranty...

Is there any solution then? Because I want to have volte in yoigo. But I have not at least now. Anda i think IS csc..the phe edition has it.
The rest of things I don't worry the important thing is volte and volte is not working for me .. to be honest I feel a little bit defrauded that volte is not working in my phone but a cheap Xiaomi or an iPhone without the mess of CSC thing

Hi! As I understand PHE code is for Spanish Free Mobiles, you can find more information here : https://www.xatakandroid.com/moviles-android/comprar-movil-samsung-extranjero-detalles-a-tener-cuent....

But as @impreza233 said, if you flash the phone you may have some trouble later with the warranty.

Also, about VoLTE there was another thread talking about a similar error, check it out here:
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-note9-series/no-funcionan-las-llamadas-volte/td-p/2047661

What do you see in settings when you are trying to enable VoLTE?

imagen.pngwhen I enter on connection setting on my s10 plus I see the VOLTE setting but it's not greyed out. I mean, I can enable and disable it. But when I'm going to make a call, 4g goes to H+ or 2G( so no volte at all)

When I enter on sim status IMS tell me that is NOT registered, but, for being more detailed, Yoigo has enabled volte in my line, this is 100 percent secure because if I put the sim of my s10 plus on a xiaomi mi 10 t pro, the xiaomi has volte working :smiling-face:

So the problem is not the same, the problem reside on my phone, not the network or line.

And yeah, PHE is for spanish free mobiles, ATL is for vodafone phones, and for whatever reason, the PHE edition of s10 plus is compatible with volte from my operator and ATL version, not. So it's because i'm searching to change it.

To sum up, the link says that volte is not enabled on him line, but in mine is enabled because I have tested on another phone and in this phoen volte has worked. 😞

before doing the flashing, maybe get in touch with Samsung support first. Tell them your problem. And if that doesn't work, flashing is the last resort

I'm waiting samsung members risponse to 2 reports I have done. it's suppose that they passed the info to the IT department so..

The before tries were on mobile phone and there were not luck because the people did'nt know what is CSC, Volte or telling me that is operator front, contact them, useless SAC on mail and phone. I hope IT department is true on samsung members.

To be honest, i'm waiting the risponse of, "okey, we are aware of this and we will fix in the next release"

Or "okey, go phe with flashing, here are the official instructions"

Because  it's not normal that a flagship phone vs cheap devices like xiaomi ones don't have volte but the other ones yeah..I'm very angry 😞

Any member of the forum is a worker from a IT departmen and can say somehting about this?

Maybe a roadmap, an explanation or something ?

Iba a preguntartelo 🤣 ya te copio todo, así lo puedan entender en más países.

Por esta app hay moderadores de Samsung pero creo que no pertenecen al departamento de TI. / There are Samsung moderators on Samsung Members, but I don't know if they work for IT. @Tudor-P @ArdielRP

Siento no serte de más ayuda.//On the other hand, I've read the Samsung Galaxy s10 plus that you have comes from Vodafone and, from what I understand, they have installed a ROM with their own Apps, right? You may have to contact Vodafone first to unlock the phone and change it to a free mobile, and from there you can download an update that allows you to call with VoLTE.  I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

since so many yeays ago there is a law on spain that forbid operatos from selling  locked"phones" so there is no need to contact vodafone to unlock it.

In fact, if I put movistar  sim for example in my phone I have volte and vowifi, on vodafone I have volte( the only thing vodafone supports) the problem is with yoigo, I think because is very new service but the thing that is worrying me is that in PHE version Volte is working and ATL not.

May be time is needed? may be there won't be support at any time on ATL? is what I'm asking before going the flash way.

And yeah, ATL has preinstalled vodafone apps, a ***** because I'm not on vodafone anymore but.. it's not important I can live with it, but not without Volte on Yoigo xD...

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/app-servicios/es-libre-mi-m%C3%B3vil/td-p/3738798

Por ello decía que es posible que Vodafone tenga parte de culpa en el problema.
