Bluetooth Call audio not working

Hi,  I have a bluetooth call audio issue for over a year.

Setup: S8 connected to various headset/ wearable - Philips headphone, car bluetooth, plantronics headphone, Samsung active 2

Issue: Bluetooth media audio always works, but bluetooth call audio never works. I can't hear the audio or other party hear me in a call, so I fallback to using mobile in handset mode or turn on mobile speaker to talk. 

Troubleshooting steps already tried but failed to resolve the issue,

1. unpair and pair bluetooth device
2. Reboot mobile
3. Mobile Bluetooth clear cache, clear data
4. Mobile (recovery mode) - wipe cache clean
5. Toggle mobile airplane mode
6. Removed all existing pairs
7. Mobile has been updated with latest software few times over last one year and issue never got resolved
8. Mobile in safe mode - still issue occurs
9. Mobile reset networks
10. Mobile factory reset - still issue occurs
11. Bluetooth headsets tried with other mobile (S7) - headsets work fine

Any other fixes. Still an issue with my A52s. Media works fine but as soon as a call comes in it switches to handset with my Samsung buds or android auto. Really annoying. Have to reset the phone everytime and then it works. But then stops a short while later.

The forums are full with this issues. I have sent my logs to samsung and explained that everything in detail. Only answer i get is factory reset that don't even work.. shitty support!

Hello Everyone,

I faced the same problem with my mother's phone.

The problem is that when you go volume setting you dont see one volume setting, the call volume. You need to click in volume up DURING a phone call.

Did you or someone else find a solution yet? I started having this issue as well a couple of months ago, on my A52s 5G with Teufel headphones (both pretty new). Thing is, it used to work fine! This issue randomly started a while back, not after an update or anything just randomly (like, this February I was still able to take 6-hour calls on this device combo with no issues at all, until suddenly it stopped working for no reason). I can listen to audio just fine, and I've checked that calls are enabled under my bluetooth settings, but whenever I take a call it switches to phone speaker, even if I click the Bluetooth icon on the call screen - it just immediately switches back again. I have tried re-pairing the bluetooth device but it didn't do anything. It does this for 'regular' phone calls, whatsapp calls, and im sure if i had other apps to call with it would be the same issue. Would love to get this issue fixed because having to take calls with wired headphones instead of handsfree is starting to get on my nerves...
