Bluetooth Call audio not working

Hi,  I have a bluetooth call audio issue for over a year.

Setup: S8 connected to various headset/ wearable - Philips headphone, car bluetooth, plantronics headphone, Samsung active 2

Issue: Bluetooth media audio always works, but bluetooth call audio never works. I can't hear the audio or other party hear me in a call, so I fallback to using mobile in handset mode or turn on mobile speaker to talk. 

Troubleshooting steps already tried but failed to resolve the issue,

1. unpair and pair bluetooth device
2. Reboot mobile
3. Mobile Bluetooth clear cache, clear data
4. Mobile (recovery mode) - wipe cache clean
5. Toggle mobile airplane mode
6. Removed all existing pairs
7. Mobile has been updated with latest software few times over last one year and issue never got resolved
8. Mobile in safe mode - still issue occurs
9. Mobile reset networks
10. Mobile factory reset - still issue occurs
11. Bluetooth headsets tried with other mobile (S7) - headsets work fine

Je rencontre les mêmes symptômes depuis février 2025 sur mon Samsung A52S, ce qui est très gênant car j'utilise souvent ma voiture pour mon travail et je ne peux plus répondre aux appels. Je crains qu'une mise à jour de sécurité en soit la cause.

My Samsung A52s affected too, I do suspect Security update. If phone started in "safe mode" then issue dissapears (Turn off long press - pick Safe mode)

Hey, Samsung! I am not going to buy this brand again - they do not solve issues they obviously have many years!

I have had my A52s 5g for around 4 years now. First started with the 'media through Bluetooth but no call audio through Bluetooth even though connected' sometime in 2024.

Somehow managed to get it going again after a lot of pain, but didn't know exactly what I'd done so I couldn't repeat it.

Had the problem again now in December 2025 for days and couldn't get it started.

However found on a forum to reboot in safe mode then restart again in normal mode. Was VERY sceptical. However it's worked. Now connected on both my vehicles where it had crapped out on both. Fingers crossed it continues to work.
