@johnnychicken: Please try checking the 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone for any dust or debris, and clear anything that you find by blowing gently into the port. Alternatively, try plugging a set of wired headphones into the device, then unplugging them to see if this helps.

While I understand that you have restarted the phone already, please try pressing the Volume Down and Side buttons together for around 10 seconds until the phone restarts, as this will perform a Soft Reset and resolve any temporary software issues which might be a contributing factor. Don't worry, this won't affect your personal data or settings.

Hi @johnnychicken and may I take this opportunity to extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

Have a look in this thread which I replied to previously.

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-a-series/earphone-mode.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

A more broadsworded approach is > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
