I've recently upgraded from an S10 to an S22. I used to be able to go to a write a new text message, select the group I wanted and then select which members I want to send the text to. I can't work out how to do this now, the groups aren't showing in the list. They are showing in contacts, but if I try and send from there I can't work out how to send to selected members only. Urgent help needed please.

They are in the list when I go into contacts, but not in the message app.

The groups are still there in contacts, but from there I can't send to selected members.

Have you created a new group the way I mentioned earlier? Thru the message app?

Better off using WhatsApp for groups and it restores when you change phone

No, I already have a number of groups and want to know how I send a text to selected members. I need to send reminders to group members, but not all of them. On the S10 it brought up the list of group members and I could select which ones I needed.

@Members_tim1gM3: Try opening the Messages app > Select the Contacts tab at the bottom of the screen > Groups > Select the relevant group > Press and hold on a group member so a tick appears, then tap on any others you want to include in the message > Tap 'Done' at the bottom of the screen. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks Andrew. This is what I used to do on the S10, and was fine. On the S22 the groups aren't showing in the list (although they are there if I go directly to my contacts) and this is the issue, because there is no option to select individual members if I text from contacts. I really need to get these texts sent, so tried to set up a new group in messages, added loads of names, typed the text, then got a message saying something like, it wasnt sent because it's not set up for MMS on my network! I'm getting desparate now, I have dozens of messages to send and can't see a way other than spending all afternoon copy and pasting to every individual.

On the S22 Ultra I went into messages - new conversation - clicked the plus sign + in front of recipients - scrolled down to groups (groups is there after recent contacts & favorite contacts) - clicked on it - then long pressed the recipients I wanted to add (a tick appeared each time I long pressed a contact under groups) - clicked done at the bottom of the list & voila the selected contacts appeared as recipients in my new message window.
Hope this helps

Thank you but when I go to new conversation there is no + sign to be seen, and when I scroll down my contacts groups just aren't there. Getting even more confused now as looking at the group messages sent in previous months (on the S10) it says 'This conversation is now a group MMS. Everyone can reply and see each other's messages'. No! I definitely don't want that, and have no idea why it's happened. So frustrating.
