Hi, all!
First of all (drumrolls!!) Flyboy007 you are the saviour!!!
Worked as charm. When we took off plastic protection and discovered cut wire, my heart got a bit of hope, when we turn on fridge after soldering the wire back and seeing those two little lights come off (temp indicators for fridge and freezer) I shouted in relief and happiness.
Once again, Flyboy007 thank you so much for saving us in this time of upside-down world.

I was really pleased to see that I was able to help you ... the continual beeping .... nobody having any ideas what the problem was nearly drove me mad.
Take care .. good to hear from you

Sue I have exactly the same problem with my Fridge freezer the same model number as yours could you please tell me the part that was faulty

Hi Sue
The info shown below is the inital information I posted.
I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem, but it does appear to be a common Samsung fault. I have attempted to talk to Samsung ... got no where, so I hope this helps.
=====================================================
Samsung RB31FERN-BSS started endless beeping before the "lock down" ... no resets or unplugging helped.
I located the fault, which I hope may help others with a similar problem / issue! (Power off first!)
The cabling for the front control display panel runs to it via /over the door hinge, before dissapearing into the door.
It's located beneath the plastic removable panel, which runs along the top of the door.
Due to its assembly and location, the cabling was stretched and compressed every time the door was open / closed until the plastic support bracket "cut through" two (2) wires of the cabling. Hence the endless beeping ... fault!
So, I stripped the wires, soldered, re-inulated, re-assembled.
I also removed a section of the plastic support bracket which was causing the cable stretching issues.
Now ... works perfectly. NO beeping, temperatures OK. Peace and quiet restored!
Hope this helps. But remember ... all models vary and so this may not help you!
Please turn off and unplug power, before you attempt any repairs.
Best of luck!

Wanted to give my 2 cents as this thread is the one that pops up most.
I have a model RB215AB so mine may be slightly different, but I had the exact same problem - door "open" alarm wouldn't stop, temp display kept showing rising temperatures (although the fridge is COLD right now), and no unplugging, cleaning, etc would fix it.
Tried getting to the wires in the door (it's a bit different on my model I think?) but zero fraying, no problems to fix...
A little more searching turned up THIS video:

The "door open" and lights, etc, are triggered by a magnetic sensor. You can test this with some common magnets and waving them around the hinges while the door is open, and watch the lights turn on and off (the bottom freezer door on my model has the sensor in the middle of the frame - it looks like a big square button).
And... yup. I tested with some other magnets I had lying around and the fridge has been quiet, temperature display is slowly creeping back down to what it's set to. Hopefully that keeps up and it works correctly.
I THOUGHT my magnet was missing, which is obviously WEIRD (how does a magnet fall UP?!). BUT, turns out the magnet is STILL IN THERE... but just not... being magnetic enough? IDK. Also... don't really care? I'll slap another magnet in there, because it fixes this annoying problem.
Definitely worth a try.
And if nothing else - you can shut your fridge up with some cheap magnets!

Went and looked at a used Samsung. Beeps with the door shut like you all are describing. Howecer, we noticed the temperature display in the inside was saying 65 and a temperature gun was indicating 49. Just wondering if you all had this issue as well.

Yep!!! Finally a useful message. Had the same issue and just found 2 small blue cables cut exactly there. I didn’t know what soldering and reinulating a cable meant until tonight but will give it a go tomorrow....Fingers crossed it works.
Edit: it did sort the problem!!! Yay. Didn’t have the right tools but bought some heat-shrink tubing from Amazon for £5 and it did the trick!!!! Thank you Flyboy007!!!!

Bravo! This exactly was the issue with my fridge. A little solder and some heat shrink, and sanity has been restored in my household

So satisfying, right?

Oh my god this fridge is driving me nuts RL39WBMS. It's cycling through freezer temps as if you are pressing the freeze temp button and beeping. It them stops and does the alarm sound then cycles through the temps again. I think i need a new pcb control board and a display board but cant find the parts any where... has someone fixed This???
