Purchased a Samsung HAFEX/EXP (Part no. DA29-10105J) Refrigerator Water Filter from ebay but questioning whether or not it is actually genuine (the seller stated it was)...
On the filter itself there is no serial/manufacturing number which is present on the filter I am due to replace (this has the code 'B4193-P' printed about half way up the label - see photo). Also there is no flow direction on the label of the new filter. Am I right in thinking all genuine Samsung water filters should have a unique manufacturing code / serial number on them?
Also I had retained the packaging of the original water filter that was supplied with my Samsung fridge freezer and comparing this with the new ebay water filter packaging, there are differences between the box size and print colours/quality (see photos).
Any thoughts?
Original filter supplied with fridge-freezer has code 'B4193-P' printed on it along with flow direction stated, new filter has neither of these
Left is box from original filter supplied with fridge-freezer, right is box from ebay filter
