My oven door exploded this afternoon while cooking biscuits on a low temperature. I’ve only had it since last November so I’m shocked. The glass flew all over the kitchen and I was just lucky my daughter didn’t get hurt. Is this a common problem?! Had many ovens over the years and never ever had one with doors that explode! I’ve contacted Curry’s where I bought it from but I’m really shocked and now have no usable oven. Can anyone help point me in right direction to get this sorted out? Thank you.

There seems to be a problem with Samsung glass doors. Our bottom panel exploded last night while on Pyrolitic cleaning. The oven is only 6 weeks old and we now have to wait for Currys engineer to come out before they even think of repair or replacement.
With 3 of these ovens having the same issue it is obviously a design fault.

Must be a design fault with this model. Samsung sent someone out quite quickly to look at the oven, who said the whole oven needs replacing but they don’t have any in stock. Long story short, after 2 months of waiting they told us to buy a new oven from AO. Samsung have promised to pay us the cost of the new oven by tomorrow but it was up to us to order it. Plus we had to pay £120 for the old oven to be removed and a new one to be fitted which Samsung would not pay for, which is infuriating, but at least the new oven is in and functional.

We have just been talking to Samsung and now waiting for an engineers appointment.

Unfortunately I think Samsung are a joke, we have no oven to cook with and the earliest date just to come out and look at it is 9th May. Then a wait for "possible" repair.
They must have a lot of faulty goods around if it takes this long.
They need to manufacture more reliable goods or get more staff.

Same happened to my oven door too, although had it on a low temperature and hadn’t even been on long! No one had touched it and it just exploded, was very shocking. Have to say that Samsung although took a couple of weeks to come, and had no oven in that time, replaced the whole oven door. Contact Samsung as soon as you can!! Good luck and hope no one was injured!!

My oven glass exploded on regular 420 temp for 30 minutes.
Terrifying that I didn’t notice until after I ate (I could have swallowed a glass shard.
