I purchased the Samsung gas oven Model NX60A6311SS about a year ago and have only used the oven a handful of times. Despite the light use, the oven glass suddenly exploded, sending shattered tempered glass all over my kitchen floor and inside the door. It was loud, shocking, and extremely dangerous.
This was not due to misuse or impact—just normal use. The entire inner and outer glass panel shattered spontaneously, and I’m thankful no one was injured.
Samsung needs to address this serious safety hazard. An appliance from a major brand should not fail like this, especially after only a year of light use. From other similar reviews online, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated incident.

I reached out to Samsung customer service immediately and was told someone would contact me within 24–48 hours. It’s now been two days passed, and I still haven’t heard back. Meanwhile, I’ve already stepped on sharp glass and feel pain with every step. I can’t safely remove the broken glass because it’s trapped inside the oven’s door structure and keeps falling out through a gap at the bottom.
This isn’t just a product defect—it’s a serious safety issue, especially in a household with children. I’m extremely disappointed with both the product failure and Samsung’s lack of response. Based on other customer experiences, it seems this isn’t an isolated incident.
Never buy Samsung.

trouble is with toughened glass is you only have to give it a scratch, or clean it with abrasive cleaners or even warm it up from cold to hot (temperature shock) too quick or spill something on it and not wipe it off, or close the door onto something in the oven where it is touching the glass door as its cooking and that can compromise the glass and cause it to shatter like that , it doesn't always necessarily mean its the manufacturers fault.
i had a pyrex dish do the same on me once when I poured some hot water onto it like that , the glass went everywhere . that had some scratches on it and when i contacted Pyrex about it thats what they said was the cause .

This oven is only about a year old and was rarely used. The shattered glass is behind a sealed panel, so there’s no way I could have scratched or damaged it.
It’s very frustrating that instead of fixing the issue, Samsung tries to blame the customer. There's no contact from the customer service so far, and it's the weekend, so I guess I need to live with another three more days without my oven. Everyday, I become more of a Samsung hater! Never buy SAMSUNG.
