I have a Z Flip 6 and am experiencing freezing when opening and closing phone since I updated to 6.1.1 on 28th January. This afternoon (29th january) I started experiencing issues with the display freezing/black screen etc when opening and closing my Flip. I have twice received a "System UI" error message or similar three times since this started happening which I belive indicates this is software issue and not hardware ( I have only had my ZFlip6 for 4 months and there is no physical damage to the device). I've tried all the troubleshooting advice but none have worked and not sure how else to resolve this obvious software issue.

Any ideas would be welcomed

I'm having the same issue. Seems completely random, will happen fairly frequently for a while, however then seems to be ok for a few days before then happening again. It's a right pain and annoying as hell 🫣

My husband just updated his to 6.1.1 two days ago and he is now experiencing the same problem. The inside screen stays black when flipping it open and he has to shut and open it multiple times until it finally lights up so that he can use it. There have been no problems with it prior to this and when he did the update, this problem was almost instant. This is clearly a software issue that should be covered by Samsung, even if we do not have the Samsung Care+ coverage. This is absolutely insane!?! He has only had this phone for about 4 months. I am still paying on it! He uses this phone for work and now he isn't able too. This is extremely upsetting. Samsung, you need to fix this and you need to do it quickly and free of charge! This exact situation is why I never use Apple. Clearly Samsung is just as bad now!!!!!

I am being told that mine is still covered under the 1 year warranty from Samsung.i sure hope so becythis is not an "us" problem. This is a Samsung problem!! If you're able, check to see if yours is still covered under Samsung's 1 year warranty. And if you are able to ride it out until the next update, then hopefully the new one will resolve this bug. But from what I've read and heard, eventually the phone becomes completely useless for some users. I hope that won't be the case for you! I am going to an authorized service location tomorrow. I will update when I hear what they have to say.

UPDATE: I called Samsung repair (Canada) and since the authorized repair store in my current city (Kelowna) would not accept to fix my phone, I was asked to send my phone in. It was express to Toronto somewhere. Within 4 business days, my phone was back and working like new. I called the repair place and asked what was done. They said they replaced the screen, hinge, and battery. Everything is working fine now and it's been a month since my phone was returned to me. I guess this is the only solution. i don't think another update will fix this issue if you're experiencing the same thing. Hope this helps.

I have this problem, too. My phone was updated approximately one month ago, and the screen does not react to any touches for 30 seconds after it is opened.

It was fixed at an Authorized Samsung repair store somewhere in Toronto. It has been 3 months since the repair and i had not had anymore issues. Even with the latest update a few days ago.
