Hey there,
received the black screen of death for my inner screen on my Flip6.
Black all the way, sometimes with rainbox pixels and whatnot when trying different angles, or frozen screen when finding a bad angle.
When the phone is closed, I can use it, sometimes, when I keep opening and closing the phone, there are certain angles where it shows my screen properly and it is not frozen. And after a while, if I am lucky, I can make it work at fully opened mode... until I close the phone again... and it starts over.
Read about factory reset, cache wipe, etc, all done that already. Planned to take it for repair as I suspected hardware issue first, but to be honest, reading messages, the issue have actually started to pop up after the new 8.0 UI update.
I do not want to spend many many hours restoring all my backed up apps and authentication/validation processes when I receive a new phone, so I do not really want to turn to warranty repair, only as a last resort.. but the habit of closing the phone makes it really hard not to accidentally close it and then lose my screen once again for half a day until it takes pity of me and enables fully open operational mode again.
Hope it really is a software bug and will be gone with next hotfix or smg.
