My Galaxy Z Flip 4 keeps shutting down when folded and often suddenly shut down

Hi,

Need help if anyone have the same issue and able to solve this. 

I have just passed a couple weeks from 1 year of using this Z Flip 4, and suddenly my phone keeps randomly shut down and cannot be turned on without giving bait by charging it first. 

Then if it already turns on, either it can suddenly shut down or if folded, it will shut down.

It's really bothersome as this is my main phone. I hope that I won't have to spend much to fix it.

This started on me today. Phone was hot a few days ago though. I suspect it's either hardware (battery) or software.....

i too  fell victim, although i have extended warranty i've still been asked to pay £425 .

Mine too started doing the same thing over the weekend 2 weeks outside my warranty

This just happened to me. Close the Flip4 phone and it shuts off. I had a Flip3 and it did the same thing too. Luckily it happened to my Flip4 at the 11 month mark. I took it back to where I bough it and they have sent it off to Samsung for assessment. Will be interesting to see what happens but ***** annoying. These flip phones have huge issues and I won't be purchasing one again. They look cool though and I had faith, no more.

Same Situration. I have only used for  around 1 year and 6 months. My old phones were being used for 5 or 6 or 7 years. If only 1 and only 5 or 6 monthes, that is really being useless of ss.

My problem is like -

1. Keeps shutting down when folded and suddenly shut down. (When I am folding, it shut down completely)
2. While charging, if I fold zfilp 4, it won't shut down and still on and little screen menu is on.

Same here. I think we need to drain battery and charge at a lower wattage ..

I had the same issue last year in Nov 2023. Still had a warranty of 2 months. But the samsung care guy took my phone inside and came back after 20 mins. Showed me tiny scratch at the back of phone on top right and said due to this your warranty invallidated . So i had to pay $147 to fix that issue. Now it happened again after 8 months. This flid/fold is just a scam.

Mine is doing the same. I'd rather just buy a new phone than pay to get it fixed

This shouldn't be happening and they should replace automatically! What's the point of the flip phone if it shuts down itself when folded!!!
