MY Z FOLD 4 keeps shutting down when trying to fold it, no damages, just updated few days ago, had screen flicker aswell. Any solutions? Tried uninstall ingredients unwanted apps, I couldn't even enter recovery mode to clear system cache.

Had the same £340 later, was told a USB circuit failure.

Best to keep it folded, get all your backups done, and contact Samsung for a repair.

But mine does charge, also, it works if folded when being charged, but shuts off right after discharging the USB

Ahh, I assumed it was off charge in your original post.
Either way, it is best to send it in for repair

It's unclear to what could be causing this issue @99112233

If a factory reset does not clear the issue then please do seek support from a Samsung Service Centre.

Is a factory reset likely to work for an issue like this? I'm having tbe same issue. Sent it back tk samsung under warranty and they broke my screen and are claiming it was broke when they got it. So they have voided my warranty. So now I'm stuck with a flip phone that can't be flipped. Absolute joke of a company.

Quite simply the worst phone I have ever owned.  I ensured that there would be a 2 year warranty in place when I took out the contract, as was a little unsure over the flip phone screen/honge and how it would last for the contract period.  Sure enough after 15 months the screen started to crack in the center on the fold line, and now it turns off completely when I start to fold it shut, also loses WIFI connection constantly.

Took phone to a Samsung store to discuss repair/replace under the warranty, and the assistant immediately went into a well scripted rant about the phone screen being damaged already by me (which it hasn't) so warranty won't be valid and I'd need to pay around £300-£400 to replace.  Obviously this is a common manufacturing issue and staff have been told to put people off returning the phones, as it'll cost the company a lot of money.  Vodafone, also offered no help in store.

Last time I get a Samsung phone, and will be heading back to Apple for the first time in about 8 years.

Unfortunately you need Samsung to fix it. Had the same issue after warraty expired and they are asking me a ridiculous amount to pay the repair. Mind you there's no scratch on my phone but since the warranty expired i need to pay for it. It is a known issue and i still need to pay for it. Its ridiculous.  Now im using my flip without folding it which is dumb.
