My Galaxy Z Flip 4 keeps shutting down when folded and often suddenly shut down

Hi,

Need help if anyone have the same issue and able to solve this. 

I have just passed a couple weeks from 1 year of using this Z Flip 4, and suddenly my phone keeps randomly shut down and cannot be turned on without giving bait by charging it first. 

Then if it already turns on, either it can suddenly shut down or if folded, it will shut down.

It's really bothersome as this is my main phone. I hope that I won't have to spend much to fix it.

Having this exact issue. Have to walk around with it permanently unfolded now

My z4 is the same since Nov 2024 works fine until you fold/flip then shuts down keep open now but used to flipping it now and turns off so annoying 😑

Mine is just over 2 years old and has started doing the same thing. My question is for those who have had it repaired, was it worth the money or did it not last again?

Same issue, a week after the warranty expired my phone suddenly shuts off whenever i fold it. What's worse is they already replaced my phone because of the same issue before. Im working from home and barely use my phone bec i have a work phone. It pisses me off because it will cost me too much to have it fixed wherein i bought this phone for a very ridiculous price.

Totally agree Im from the Philippines and Samsung here diesnt give **** to our complaints. Greatest regret in changing phones from iphone to Samsung.

After 2 years and 4 months my Flip4 i have the same problem.

I have 3 samsung z flip 4 because I love samsung and the flip phone was what I always wanted . The first one fell and the screen broke.  The replacement screen was almost 75% the cost so I bought a new one instead.  The second one shutdown when folded and the screen in the middle looks cracked which I think its just the manufacturer applied screen protector.  Got a third one because I still love the concept of the phone.  Now this one has the cracked middle look ( screen protector) also. So I have 3 phones that I now hate. I would love to get the z flip 6 but am worried about similar issues and for the first time considering an apple .

I have my z flip 4 for 1yr and 10 months. Just this morning it started shutting completely down when I flip the phone closed. I am still within my 24month warranty and will go the Samsung service center on Monday. Hopefully they will fix it without charging me an arm and a leg. Judging from all the complaints regarding the same issue of these phones, I would never have purchased it if I knew that this is a common problem. Its disappointing though for a "flag ship" phone to give in this early in its use.😒 I have tried the soft reset, done the whole safe mode thing as well to no avail.
