My Galaxy Z Flip 4 keeps shutting down when folded and often suddenly shut down

Hi,

Need help if anyone have the same issue and able to solve this. 

I have just passed a couple weeks from 1 year of using this Z Flip 4, and suddenly my phone keeps randomly shut down and cannot be turned on without giving bait by charging it first. 

Then if it already turns on, either it can suddenly shut down or if folded, it will shut down.

It's really bothersome as this is my main phone. I hope that I won't have to spend much to fix it.

Have the same problem, just searched it up on Google why it was doing this and found this post, not too happy about it

Just happened to me yesterday.  I've had it for 2 yrs. 3 months.  If I would have known that, I never would have bought it.  Can you imagine paying Samsung $500.00 a year to rent a phone.  That's basically what happened here.  It cost me over $1000.00 to buy the phone and only worked for 2 years.  That's $500.00 a year.  I bought it because it folded.  If I would have known, I would have bought a cheaper phone that didn't fold and it would still be working fine. I feel as though I got ripped off.  So every time I fold it to put it in my pocket it shuts off.  The only way I can turn it back on is to plug it into the charger and turn the phone on.  It won't turn back on without putting it on the charger first. So now I have to carry the charger with me and hope I can find an outlet everytime I want to use th phone.  Too bad Samsung won't back their products and fix it.  They know about the problem.  Maybe Apple is the way to go. If I sound disgruntled, I am.  I don't feel I need to spend $500.00 every year on a phone.

I feel you.

After went to Samsung service center last month and paid for the service, now it's working fine. They give me 3 months guarantee. But then yeah.. this flip phone is so vulnerable..

And mine was turning off when opening the fold unless on charge and now turns off regardless of folding and won't turn on or stay on unless plugged into a fast charger

I bought the Z fold 4 in August 2022 and my phone is just over a year old. It now has issues with the internal screen with no apparent reason. I can only use the external screen. If I try to open it, it makes a noise and completely shuts down. This phone is rubbish and I learned my lesson. I AM GOING BACK TO IPHONE  and never ever again in my life I will buy anything that carries a SAMSUNG brand.

I also purchased the phone in Aug 2022 with 1 year warranty now the phone is getting switched off while folding. I contacted helpline they said need to visit service center. I think this is cz of software 6.1 that i recently downloaded. Service center is asking for money as it is not under warranty now. I have made the biggest mistake buying this ***** and the company does not give a *****!

Same.Whats suspicious is it started 1 week after the warranty expired. I have a buddy with the same device we have exactly the same issue

My partner started having the same issue with his flip 4 yesterday. It won't even charge and the phone feels really hot.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also does anybody think it might be a glitch in the latest update?
