Fold 4. Wifi not turning on

I received the latest firmware update on the 15th of May. After installing, the phone restarted several times on its own but appeared to be fine to start with. What I did notice though was that the phone was very hot and the battery was draining quickly, till it eventually switched it self off. So, I recharged the phone and switched it back on. What I found was that the phone had gone into flight mode. I turned the flight mode off and then I found that the WiFi was turned off. I've tried turning on the the WiFi. It turns it self straight back off. I've tried resetting the network settings. Makes no difference. The WiFi will not turn on.

There's different version of fold 4 mine is SM-F936N korea version and the last update was August

I dunno if you own the same model...those using SM-F936U have gotten October update

If you had this wife/bluetooth issue and you're here, did it get resolved after hour October update?

I am facing the same issue on my Z4 flip phone.
After upgrading the security patch and One UI update on Dec 23, my wifi and blue tooth start working and battery faster than usual. Called up support and there is nothing they can do except asking me to head down and pay for a dianostic check. Am dissappointed that my Z4 dont last for 1yr when my old apple phoned lasted me 4yrs before i decided to swap to Z4

My gfold4 would not turn wifi on y2 days ago. Then the inner screen went dark.

It is only 1 year and 4 months old.

Very disappointed.  I bought the gfold 5 but the technology looks too similar.

I lost confidence and will return it. And repairing my fold 4 is too risky that it happens again.

I will buy the competitor, another $1600 to spend...  i am very upset with samsung..

Have the same issue. Will be costing the store tomorrow. I've had Samsung phones for about 15 years, but I am more frustrated with them with each supposed upgrade. I think it's time for a change if they can't get the basic things right.

Just started on my device as well. ZFold 4 (SM-F936UZKACHA). Bluetooth works fine but WiFi won't activate. The menu will show it's trying to activate but never will.

Hi,  samsung accepted to trade my gfold4 with the inner screen and wifi component both not working for the gfold5. They said they would give me the full $1000 tradein value despite the issue.

In the store, the technician told me there was not point fixing my gfold 4. Just he screen was $600.

So i have got the gfold 5. The new one feels much better quality. Innerscreen is supposed to be 25% stronger. Battery seems better as well.  but i am down another $800 to add on the top of the tradein value to get it.

Am heading to the service centre today. Called in last Thursday but lady on the phone mentioned I can't walk in, have to make an appointment. The earliest one available near my place is 4 days later. 
My cousin warned me to think twice about fixing as her Zfold4 had the same issue > service centre fixed it and her phone didnt look like an Android phone ever since. It had several other issues  several months after.

Without Wifi, I can't backup my data over phone data as phone is stating I need about 10GB of data. Also it would take a long while for a full backup. I am now worried if my data will be lost or my phone will be in a worse state than before.

I am now worried if I should

Whoah, another $800? Is this in USD?

I am thinking if I should just renew my ISP contract 1yr earlier > pay a penalty of SGD350 and  top up another $250 to get a new phone instead of getting it fixed.

What irritates me is "Why am i paying for Samsung's SW update issues" or HW quality issues.
Also it doesnt make sense that one cannot revert back to a previous patch version when the latest screwed up.

Sigh, I totally agree.
Heard a fair share of horror stories after recieving the phone back from centre as well.
When did you upgrade your patch? Was it the One UI?

My issue was Wifi would not activate after the One UI patch. 1 day later, bluetooth stops  working altogether.
