Fold 4. Wifi not turning on

I received the latest firmware update on the 15th of May. After installing, the phone restarted several times on its own but appeared to be fine to start with. What I did notice though was that the phone was very hot and the battery was draining quickly, till it eventually switched it self off. So, I recharged the phone and switched it back on. What I found was that the phone had gone into flight mode. I turned the flight mode off and then I found that the WiFi was turned off. I've tried turning on the the WiFi. It turns it self straight back off. I've tried resetting the network settings. Makes no difference. The WiFi will not turn on.

Update : now even when I reboot the phone while closed after I accidentally opened it one more time, the wifi and bt don't turn back on at all, close or open (I haven't finished backing up everything so I haven't tried any possible fixes yet)

Same issue here in Canada. Today my phone won't scan for Wifi. Wifi wont turn on. Doesn't show any wifi around,

Same problem with Z Fold 4, am just shocked with the number of people experiencing the same problem. Hopefully Samsung can fix this

I have confirmed if I accidentally open the phone (unfold it), and within 30 seconds or so close the phone again the wifi never gets disconnected. The issue only exists if I leave the phone unfolded for more then 30 seconds.

This is clearly a software problem and it needs to be fixed. If it was a hardware problem opening the phone would cause the issue to happen immediately.

Same here. Since OneUI 5.1.1 I cannot turn Wifi on. BT had issues as well, but works after network reset in settings.

Hope Samsung fix this issue ASAP

I tried a network reset in settings and now even when I reboot my phone the wifi won't enable. So others do not try this it will make the issue worse.

UPDATE:

Did a complete factory reset .... strange things happen:

• I can turn Wifi an, but there are no networks listed (5 available from PC)
• I cannot turn BT on - worked before

Strange things before reset:

• Could turn BT on, but no media over ear phones
• Could not play any video or mediy i.e. YT, Disney+ etc.
• Strangely "previews" of videos from e.g. Telegram worked but not the full video
• TikTok live streams were fine, but no other video

System Software:

• Fold 4
• One UI 5.1.1
• F936BXXS4DWHA / F936BOXM4DWH7 / F936BXXU4DWH7
• Security Patch 1. September 2023

So for now the phone is practically unusable - I will contact Samsung support for some help ... if I will get any.

Update
Talked to the Samsung Support. In the end they said it needs some checks in the local Samsung Service Center - and probably a replacement. Device is 10 month old.

Sent my phone for into Best Buy for repairs. They just informed me that it was not repairable and are sending me a gift card to replace my phone.
