If WhatsApp is not opening after transferring from an old phone, you can try these troubleshooting steps:

Check your Google account: Make sure you are signed in to the same Google account on both your old and new devices.

Check your backup: On your old device, ensure that WhatsApp backup is enabled and has run.

Restart your phone: Restart your phone and try again.

Check your phone's settings: Make sure WhatsApp is allowed to send you notifications.

Reinstall WhatsApp: Uninstall WhatsApp on your new device and reinstall it.

If your transfer fails or gets stuck, your data will still be available on your old phone.

Hi . How did you transfer your WhatsApp?

For myself. I backup my whats app on the old phone.

Move my sim to the new phone

Install WhatsApp on the new phone. Login and BAM !! I'm in.

Then I get a message that I'm logged out from the old one.

you can link it as a linked device if you wanna keep on both.

WhatsApp is known for issues.  I follow a sequence of things to do when transferring to a new phone.  

I always backup WhatsApp on the old phone - 3 dots / Settings / Chats / Backup, before I transfer everything to my new phone.

Do you still have your older phone?  Put the Sim card in your older phone and follow what I just wrote.  
See if that improves things when you try again on your new phone.

I've followed Fiona and uninstalled updated new and restored...but it only from my last back up August. But that's OK.. it's done. But thank you.
