Secure Folder Issue: Banking Apps Unable to Register Due to Lack of SMS Access on Samsung S24 Ultra

I am experiencing a significant problem with the Secure Folder feature on my Samsung S24 Ultra. Banking apps are unable to register because they cannot access SMS messages. This lack of SMS access within the Secure Folder is preventing essential two-factor authentication and verification processes required by these apps.

This issue is critical as it hinders the functionality of important financial applications, impacting my ability to manage and access banking services securely. What is the use of the Secure Folder if such a basic feature doesn't work? Even cheaper phones now have this functionality. I urge a prompt resolution to enable SMS access within the Secure Folder, ensuring that banking apps can register and operate as intended.

Thanks, that worked for me. It wasn't the SMS that wasn't working for me that was ok, it was the verification via email so I moved the Gmail app into the secure folder and then it worked. I am now all set up with mobile banking in a secure folder on Samsung Galaxy. Thanks again.

Hi, my banking app suddenly started flashing a message 'Secondary app detected....use primary profile' .. To make sure that my account is secured, I deleted the app and reinstalled but, now, I cannot register for the lack of SMS access. I have registered my main profile and copied it to SF but here I only see an option to register afresh .. No option to login.

Think of the secure folder as a separate phone. You have to put your messaging App and/or Email App in the folder AS WELL to allow bank security to function normally.

The issue with SF is that, It does not give an option to set default apps for SMS, it only given an option to set "default" browser, not for messaging app.

Even if you move SMS app in SF, you won't be able to send SMS.

After moving to Secure folder, you have to sign in again. So this trick won't work.
