Samsung S24 Ultra overheating and draining battery while using camera

Hi guys, i recently bought a S24U on pre-order but am having thermal and battery issues with it.
Every time i launch the camera the phone gets really hot and i lose around 2% battery every minute. I charged the phone to a 100% and tested the camera for nearly 6mins, the battery dropped to 88%.
Am using the phone on UHD and in standard mode for performance. The OS and the apps are up to date.
I tried putting it in light mode hoping to see a difference but in vain, nothing changed. Even on while doing a video call i can see the battery just draining away and the phone gets annoyingly hot. I would appreciate if someone can help me out on this. Thanks

First try Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

And run the optimisation tool in your Device Care.

Then run the diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App.

If all that does not help then contact Samsung via your feedback section in the Samsung Members App @Bryan27

A phone is overheating if you get a pop up advising so and would in the extreme auto shut down.

That said a phone should not heat up to the extent that it's too hot to handle.

If your using a case then this can hinder heat dissipation in some circumstances.

A Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone too.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

I did all of the above and it still persists. No it does not give me any pop up. Am not a cover person, i use the phone without any cover. But it gets really hot really quick and its not normal at all. The biggest issue around it is that it drains my battery so much, its insane. From my experience it's not normal. I've used many phones and none behaved like this one.

Have you gone to performance profile and changed it from standard to light? Samsung is releasing the big 24 series update on the 22nd Feb so that update may help.

Yes, I tested it on light mode as well. Sadly it doesn't change anything. The phone start overheating approx 30 seconds after opening camera. I really hope the update fix this issue. The place i bought this phone does not have return or exchange policy.

Okay. A shot in the dark here but it may be one of your apps. Have you checked which apps are running in the background in the battery settings. Usually you will find an app that is draining the battery.

The software update is imminent @Bryan27

Other than that a factory reset is a last resort after backing up.

Yes i checked and most of the apps use like 1% or less. Whatsapp uses like 3% because i use it a lot. Other than that, when am using camera for photoshoot i close all apps. I appreciate your help so far. Thank you buddy.
