Samsung S24 Ultra overheating and draining battery while using camera

Hi guys, i recently bought a S24U on pre-order but am having thermal and battery issues with it.
Every time i launch the camera the phone gets really hot and i lose around 2% battery every minute. I charged the phone to a 100% and tested the camera for nearly 6mins, the battery dropped to 88%.
Am using the phone on UHD and in standard mode for performance. The OS and the apps are up to date.
I tried putting it in light mode hoping to see a difference but in vain, nothing changed. Even on while doing a video call i can see the battery just draining away and the phone gets annoyingly hot. I would appreciate if someone can help me out on this. Thanks

I did notice crazy heating when shooting in 4k as well at a party.

Haven't tried again recently.

I just put it down to other background apps at that time.

It did cool quickly as well.

Something to look out for.

My phone was overheating as well in the first 2 days of use but now it gets warm only when I use the camera and when I charge it from the powerbank, probably a little bit when I do WhatsApp videocalls, but it's not so perceptible.

okay, yours is probably pretty normal i guess 4k do use a lot of that processing.
The thing is, even with normal shots, like am taking some pictures or am just trying to zoom in and out, it starts heating like crazy. It does take a min to cooldown yeah.

Oh okay.. warm is acceptable, but mine gets to an annoying level of heating. I really hope its a software issue which could be fixed in the future. If its hardware i'll be out of luck!

Yes, I am sorry to hear your phone is overheating. Be mindful of the cool down period in case it's faulty. Keep us updated on how it's going.

My experience with smartswtich that most people who have issues are those who did a smarthswitch.

I would recommend backup you contacts, messages , photos etc in Google One.

Factory Reset your phone and don't restore apps or settings. Restore the rest and manually install apps as and when needed.

I know it's a bit extreme but it's worked for me all these years.

I would suggest only do it if you have other issues as well.

If not check YouTube on how to WIPE CACHE the phone.
