Only if hiccups are evident @Edgie70

Personally I clear the phone's System Partition Section Cache if required.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Personally i think it is advisable to wipe the cache partition after updates,  I  only factory Reset in the event of issues though know some think it helps regardless.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Thanks , I've never done a reset after an update but it's something over the years I've seen mentioned on other sites etc , I can understand the cache partition wipe to get rid of any excess or rogue files etc ...

It's personal opinion and habit @Edgie70

A factory reset for me is the very last resort.

I've always wondered what exactly happens during one of those major updates. Does the phones cache partition get wiped any way? Would like to see some technical breakdown of what occurs

Yeah that's great thought , presume one update file goes over the other but may wipe the partition anyway

I would not do a reset after update, that seems an overkill to me. Unless there is a serious reason for it, I would avoid a reset.
