Hi. I was having the same issue. My s23 wouldn't "charge". After hours of charging, it would still show 45%. It started after the UI 7 update. Today I left my phone charge for 1h and it still showed 50%. I then switched it off and back on again and now it shows 92%. Hopefully that has "fixed" it. I had not restarted my phone after the UI Update.

Same issue for me, S24 Ultra. After updating to one UI7 no more fast charging or super fast charging. Used same charging devices / powerbanks as before. Tried safe mode, wiping cache, members app test etc. No improvement...

I honestly do not understand how an update can affect a phone this much. After posting about my fast charge disappearing a week ago after the software update, my phone is now picking up water damage or debris inside the phones charger port, which is not right at all. My phone never fell in water or anything and it is too new to have any kind of debris, now I am not able to charge my phone at all. This truly is the worst experience, and such a huge inconvenience, now I need to send my brand new phone in for repairs and I will now be without a phone for up to 21 days. Samsung is trying to be too much like Iphone with their unnecessary updates and now customers have to suffer. I am extremely disappointed with this honestly because I always stand strong and believe in their products, but now I am genuinely having second thoughts

You should not send you phone anywhere. Call support, have them ship you a new phone then when and after you copy your data send the old one back. Also, you can wireless charge for now..I agree, what a joke that an update is breaking phones like this. Any other nonsense excuses or suggestions that's it's not related are lies. I noticed I had an update today, what I can only assume is this is the fix to the last update. Guess we'll see. For now, I instructed my daughter to not update her phone.

Thank you so much for the feedback, but unfortunately cellphone providers does not work that way, especially Telkom. They are going to make up some dumb excuse and going to take the easiest route and send it away for "repairs". The upsetting thing is I do not have a wireless charger, so I am not even able to charge my phone now to try and update the software again to hope it fixes the problem. This is honestly the most ridiculous thing I have ever encountered.

Ahh yes, I understand, I have T-Mobile so that's exactly how they work, I just keep having them send me a new phone, then I send the old one back. Yeah, I would be absolutely pissed if I were you.

Just a quick side note, I didn't have a wireless charger either but my son's headphones did, and that worked.

I've experienced the same issue. My S23 will only charge to 62 percent since the update. Every night, same plug-in charger as always, but now charging stops at 62 percent. I have checked settings and it's nothing to do with that. This is extremely frustrating.

As for today, neither my samsung s24 nor my galaxy tab are charging properly. I had to reverse from the original usbc charger to the "old one" and my tablet won't charge over 1% whilst my s24 is saying it's taking 13 hours to charge. I depend on both devices for my work and this was the very issue why I switched from Apple to samsung in the first place. Not gonna keep purchasing them in the future, but does anyone know how we can get Samsungs attention on this issue, or if there's been any pronouncement or update on this? I too believe it happened after the last update, and it's been a huge source of stress due to work!!!

Hey,
I’ve got the same issue with my S24 Ultra. I’ve done quite a few tests to figure out what’s going on.
First, I checked if the USB port is okay. I transferred files to and from my computer, moved cables around, and everything worked fine—so it’s definitely not a port issue.
Like some of you, my problems started right after the One UI 7 update. The phone was charging normally during the update, but once it finished, it just stopped charging—even though it was still plugged in with the original charger and cable.
To double-check everything, I’ve been using my S22 Ultra as a reference device. I test all my cables and chargers on the S22 first, and they work fine there. But when I try them on the S24 Ultra—still the same issue. So it's not about broken chargers or bad cables.
Over the past 3 weeks, I’ve tried:
more than 10 original cables,
4 Samsung super fast chargers, 3 fast chargers (up to 95W),
chargers from other brands (Motorola, Lenovo),
power banks,
car chargers,
and at least 3 wireless chargers.
And the result? I honestly feel like some kind of AI is deciding whether my phone should charge or not. It doesn’t matter which cable or charger I use. It also doesn’t matter what battery mode or power saving settings I choose. I even deleted the "learning" data that helps the phone optimize battery use (not sure what it’s called exactly).
Sometimes the phone just doesn’t charge at all. Other times, it starts charging exactly at the time it "thinks" I’ll need it fully charged—like if I plug it in before sleep, it only starts charging so it finishes right before I wake up. But if I try charging it outside of my usual routine, nothing happens. Doesn’t matter if it’s a wireless charger or not.
It’s honestly kinda wild. I’d understand this kind of behavior from a cheap phone, but not from Samsung’s top model.
I thought about doing a factory reset, but honestly? I really don’t want to go through logging into all my bank apps and setting everything up again. Too much hassle.
