Hi, Folks. From my experience, it seems that.
The Samsung S24 Ultra has very poor-quality charging USB ports. Recently, I mentioned a damaged USB port in my previous S24 Ultra 512GB, which stopped fast charging after being exposed to a few drops of rain on the USB-C port.
Three months ago, I replaced my phone with another S24 Ultra 1TB model and added to case cover a USB dust and water protection cap. Despite this, after three months, the phone started showing symptoms of super fast charging problems again. I changed the charging cables twice, but the issue persisted, and it turned out that the USB-C connector is loose.
This is already my second S24 Ultra phone this year; I’m starting to wonder because, with all the previous S models from S7 EDGE to S24 Ultra, I have never encountered a case where the USB port quality was so poor. I change my phone to a new model every year and am usually among the first beta testers, as it typically takes several months to introduce improved updates.
But this port concerns me, as if the quality of the USB-C construction is much worse than in previous S2x Ultra models."
Perhaps I was unfortunate enough to receive a defective model when I exchanged my phone for a new one. The phone does not have a single scratch and has been used properly. I reported the defect under warranty and am waiting for a door-to-door service visit next week.
After the New Year, I plan to switch to the S25 Ultra, but I hope that the quality of the USB-C port will be much better, as in previous models. Unfortunately, I have had a second negative experience with the S24 Ultra, having had charging port problems twice this year.
