Messages pop up details

Hi , does anyone know of an app or a way to hide the details in the pop up at the top of the screen, I need the pop up still to happen because android auto relies on it to send notifications in the car but I'd like the details hiding , someone suggested a routine but that unfortunately stops the pop up which I still need ! Thanks

Hello, thinking not showing the notification detail, is not what you want due to AA ?

Routine is a way but just checking and nothing at that level of granular control, under notifications as the THEN, it only has DND, Read Aloud of Custom (not what you want)

I'd like it hidden on my phone for privacy ( like my OnePlus) could do , I checked the routines and modes but unfortunately nothing in there , the pop up still needs to be active or notifications don't work in the car for AA

I've not got a OP anymore but with the OP you could have the pop up and it just said " messages " in the pop up , which would have worked with AA .
I've seen a few people complaining about this on Reddit and other sites , it's a privacy thing , showing someone something on your phone and a message pops up and people can see who it's off and brief details, I would like it so it's private in the pop up and then would still work with AA

Turn the off pop up in each app notification settings

Hi, as @Edgie70 pointed out, if you go to Settings > Notifications > App Notifications > Messages, and then click the pop notifications to off, it should still work with Android Auto without showing a visual cue on screen.

I turned off pop up and I get no notification beep on AA , I only get a silent ( 1 ) next to the time on the screen so I do t know when I receive a text

That is strange. Assuming your phone is locked during the car journey, you can choose an option to hide notification details on the lock screen by going to Settings > Notifications > Lock Screen Notifications and selecting Hide Notifications.
